Structural Engineer

Thusitha Peiris has sixteen years of experience in the field of structural design engineering. He has graduated in B.Sc. Civil Engineering from University of Moratuwa in 1999 and received his Masters in Structural Engineering from University of Moratuwa in 2012. Thusitha is a Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) since 2008. And also he is a corporate member of the Society of Structural Engineers of Sri Lanka (SSE) and a member of Sri Lanka Geo-technical Society, since 2011.

Thusitha is attentive in designing for Renovation of old structures, Structural retrofitting and Eco-friendly buildings. He is practically contact and absorbed in Renovations of Colonial buildings, Condition Assessment of structures, Consultation in Structural repairs, Structural design of domestic buildings, office buildings, warehouses, steel structures, swimming pools, pile foundations & earth retaining structures.

Since his graduation in 1999 he has worked with many reputed design, structural & construction companies in Sri Lanka. Also he was a visiting lecturer for Mathematics of structures in the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa in 2002. Presently he is working as a Senior Design Engineer for Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) and a freelance structural designer for Design Studio.
